Description: A pair of Irish Georgian silver Bright Cut Celtic Point pattern serving spoons, with the traditional Dublin Star above the cartouche with engraved owners initials JT. The engraved stars have 6 points, and were clearly engraved by hand, as you can see differences between the engraving on the 2 spoons. The hallmarks are clear on both spoons, including makers mark J.K for John Keene I, who worked between 1784 and 1807. He was clearly a respected silversmith, he was elected Warden 1797-1799, Master 1801-1802, and was also on the Dublin City Council 1798-1801.
